January Jorgenson

As an artist, January has evolved at a remarkable pace, establishing a style and sophistication in her oil paintings. January grew up in Iowa and resides now in the southwest. A fascination for western art inspired January to finally paint with all the passion that she has had for art since childhood. January’s work has been acclaimed in a large number of group shows, various regional and national exhibitions and one-woman shows. For her many galleries and private collectors she has created numerous commissions and original works. Her latest project has her painting limited editions of her popular original oils.

The texture of the canvas comes alive with the liberal use of palette knife and brush. January’s artistic stroke is so evident, it is often considered the “other” subject of the painting. January’s perspective is uniquely hers, yet unequivocally yours. Her works can be found in public and private collections throughout the United States and Canada, and has been featured with articles and photographs in 2005 and 2006 “Southwest Art Magazine” in the “Artist to Collect First”, and the “Artist to Watch” categories.
